Purpose

I wanted to make a simple tool, made without plastic and without leaving a footprint of garbage in our earth or ocean to affect the lives of our children or the future of our communities. 

a campfire gets us outside, and while we are outside we can be mindful of the bigger picture, the world that surrounds us, that we see and don’t see. This time outside brings us closer to ourselves - a time to think inwardly when on our own, or connected when with others. 

starting a fire without a lighter or matches builds confidence in both ourselves, and our trust in knowing we can survive on our own, to stay warm and to cook. Self reliance, connecting with others, being in nature. This is our purpose.
